It's the Inside that Counts

Have you ever looked at someone and thought mean things about them?

Truth is, we don't know that person, what that person has been through, or what that person might need! They might need a friend or someone to tell them they matter.

A lot of times we think we are just one person out of a billion or, if you will, "one candle" out of a billion.

BUT!

Did you know one small teeny tiny dim light is visible in the darkest room? That person might be living in the darkest room in his/her mind. They might need you to shine your little light and show Jesus' love so they might find hope, peace, forgiveness or even forgive themselves.

So I challenge you and myself to try to do something every day for someone to shine their light for someone. Help someone with their groceries, hold the door open for someone, SMILE, reach out to someone who seems to be going through a struggle, listen to someone who just needs to talk, ect...

July 4th, 2014

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays! I absolutely love celebrating the freedom we take for granted every single day. People lost their lives for us to have our own freedom! We are beyond blessed.

We went to my brother and sister(-in-law)'a house for a 4th party!

She is SO stinkin' creative! :)

The meal was definitely on point! They sure do know how to cook! We got to enjoy leftovers the next day. :)

I made an American flag cookie cake!

Later-

We continued building on our house! It's coming along great :)

I can't wait to finally move IN. I'm so ready to have something to call ours!

Two Year Anniversary <3

I have had such an amazing week! Me and my husband went to Destin, Florida for our second anniversary!

It was a 6 hour trip... Sooo we got kind of board...

When we FINALLY got there, we had some fun in the sand!

The water was SO gorgeous and blue! God sure knew what he was doing when He made the ocean!

We went to the water park, "Big Kahuna's". It was extremely fun! We road every single ride THREE times! We are definitely putting that back on our Florida "to-do" list :)

On our anniversary night, we ate out at the Back Porch! I got grilled shrimp, grouper, and twice baked potato! Cody got steak and crab legs(don't worry, I made him share the crab legs with me;))!
After dinner, we walked on the beach. It was so magical! :)

The next day we went exploring a litte!

There was a jazz band playing at the Harbor Walk Villiage! They were awesome! :)

This guy totally posed for me AND have me a high five!!!(no pun intended)

Cody road on the zip line! It looked way too high for me!

Instead of me riding the zip line, Cody took my picture.

Then we waiting for the parade!!
We were too cute wearing our matching colors ;) (I'm that kind of girl... #sorrynotsorry)

And my favorite picture of us as of now..

As it got darker, the parade started!! It was a ton of fun!

As you can see, we got lots of beads.. :)

Coffee was necessary... Even if it WAS 95 degrees...

I believe beach bum should be my middle name :)

And of course we found a music shop. :)

We went back to the Harbor Walk Villiage that night!

Airplanes did awesome tricks in honor of our freedom here in the USA!

Waiting on fireworks!!

Cody made me try on a ridiculous hat to pass the time...

Finally fireworks!

Then off to Joe's Crab Shack for supper!

They had the best crab legs I have ever tasted!!!

Cody was the King Crab and I was the Queen Crab <3

We even saw dolphins!!!

The next day we had to say our hard "see you later's".

Maybe one day we will own our very own beach house! Until then, we will definitely go back soon. VERY soon.

"Just a Closer Walk with Thee"

Walking / running / biking are some of my favorite pastimes! Not only do I enjoy burning calories, but I enjoy the time I get to spend talking with God in his creation!

A beautiful sunset :)

Japanese Magnolia

I love Black-eyed Susans :)

My walking buddy!!

Sunsets steal my heart <3

I got hungry mid-run yesterday ;)

My typical walk / jog / bike is 3-5 miles.

You see this stuff everyday, but do you ever actually THINK about it?!?
God created this! Every single thing down to the last teeny tiny detail! He knows how many legs are on the centipedes, how many seeds the Black-eyed Susans have, how many hairs are on my head, ect!

"Ye shall walk in al the ways which The Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess." Deuteronomy 5:24

🎶I am weak, but thou are strong,
Jesus keep me from all wrong.
I'll be satisfied as long,
As I walk, let me walk,
Close to thee.🎶
